Server Preparation A HotSwap host adapter is installed in your server.  If there is an extra bay, an internal HotSwap/HotMount drive enclosure (pictured at left) will be installed in the server, otherwise an external drive enclosure will be used (pictured just above the data safe). Data Backup Media Your on-premises backup system includes a minimum of six (6) server-quality 1TB hard disk drives (labeled "Monday" through "Friday" plus "Archive"), which are utilized to provide the recommended rotation of your backup media.  Our technicians install these drives in special HotSwap/HotMount drive carriers (see picture at left).  We also provide padded cases for the drives. Data Backup Preparation We work with you to analyze your data structure and determine which files need to be backed up initially, including all files required for a "bare-metal" restore in the event of a disaster.  Once those files are backed up, they are stored both locally and at the remote data center.  Our technician also helps you determine which data files are to be backed up on a daily basis from your workstations to your file server.  They are then backed up from the server on a regular basis. Secure On-Premises Storage Your CSG Backup Solutions plan includes a 2-hour fire rated data safe to protect your data files from fire and theft.  This Cobalt safe is designed specifically for the secure storage of data files.  To ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster, your files are also stored at a secure remote data center.
